CAS - Leadership Mural I

We are doing a mural in our homeroom, today. Since, there isn't a lot of art in our school unlike the primary school, they have art everywhere. So we had to draw of what each word (Ms Sam wrote) meant to us:

IB
Me
Community
Friendship
Graduates of 2016

Hhahaha, Tom was sneezing in the background. What a funny picture!!

When Ms Sam asked for volunteers to run the project, I raised my hand up right a ways. I knew if I didn't and if someone else had done it....well lets just say I would be yelling a lot sayings like, 'What the hell are you doing?' or 'Why do it that way? Do it like this.' and so on. I also took it as an chance to have my skill level up and a great opportunity to lead a team, a real group of people. Even before I would do a little of it but now I am more confident now. As I am being more of a risk taker and also a leader. Like in art class I am experimenting more and learn more as I do it. And I want that to continue for my self-esteem to express more of what I believe as well as helping others and work with them.

It's not easy to be a leader. It's not easy to express ourselves in front of other people.
You've stepped forward and challenge yourself! Congratulations for that..

I love the design too by the way.. :) Have fun creating it on your class wall! ;)

Your design is fantastic Seb. I am looking forward to seeing the final mural. Good work organizing it all. You are bringing a sparkle to the classroom!

Well done on stepping up to develop your leadership skills. It was good to recognise that this would be a more positive experience than to take the easier route and let others take the responsibility.
Great start to the year Sabrina

I'm so glad you took this project on Sabrina. It is such a great way to unite our Yr 11 community and to collaborate with students doing something you love. You are a talented artist and you've really got everyone onto sharing this project with you.
