CAS - Kemang Campus Day I

I went to the Kemang Campus today. Since, from last year from the work experience (for a week) I spent my time in the art room with ms Janie. Since I liked art class and I am good with children it turned out great.  I get along with the children as well as helping out with Ms Janie, the art teacher. Apparently I have done so well that ms Janie and the primary school invited me to go back and do art with the primary kids again since they all loved me and I helped out with the teacher.

The Primary has assembly every Friday morning which lasts for along while. It was fun to experience the assembly at the primary. I learned that the primary school has more recondition towards the students as they gave them rewards (end of every month/term). As they get the students energized and pippy as they announced who is in the lead of the house teams. It was fun to see all the students as I recognized most of them and they remembered me. Though it was longer then I would have thought, about an 1 hour. I was amazed how many parents were there in the morning to see their kids getting awards.

The school says I could wear my uniform, but I thought it wouldn't really show my personally so, I was allowed to wear whatever I want as along as it was appropriate and that I can run in (since the kids love to run). So every day that I go to the primary I wear a nice skirt that is at the right height and wear shorts underneath. I also wear a white tank-top (which are sleeveless) under my short-sleeve black jacket, and also wear flats. I don't wear shorts even though I am allowed, since I want to show that I am responsible and I can dress-right for any occasion.

The art classroom (in primary) is huge compare to the one at my school (secondary). There is a lot of energy in the class not just from the artworks on the wall or the children, it's the energy that ms Janie brings that lights up the day and ms Ratih, have so much energy even if its the end of the school day. They get the kids energized and excised. They really know how to have fun even if its a raining day or a kid is not having a good day.

Today was great even though I only taught 2 classes today, since there was no class at the end. We had the P4 today this morning, and I recognized most of the kids and they recognized me from last year from the work experience and the every-other Wednesdays (after the Work Experience) I went. I had ms Janelle's daughter today in class. She is a sweet little girl and all the kids are. We painted, watched nursery rhymes, and got stickers.

We had another class before ms Janelle's daughters class. I believe they were Foundation. I am not sure of the classes because I don't know what years they are in. But the kids recognized me and said good morning. There was allot of painting going on, it was fun.

I love that I was able to go back and I am so honored that the Primary school has allowed me to come back and help out ms Janie as well as learning from the experience. I have pushed myself to make sure that I can go to the Primary so I can see the kids again and Ms Janie and Ms Ratih.  It has been such a fun experience so far.
