Term 2
was really hard but I was able to use more different techniques within classes as
well with the studies. I had fun doing stuff that was out of my comfort zone –
but at times I wish I was able to do things by myself and not being pushed on
as I my anxiety levels get dangerously high. But I think I was able to tackle
my goals that I sent out to do when I wrote my Term 1 Reelection. I was able to
be a risk-taker and be more daring and deicing more careful on what and how the
artwork will look for the finish project. I have a weird “gift” (let’s call it)
I am able to see from different points of perspective of things, or with a problem
to solve I come up with 20 or 30 different ways to do it. And also with people as I can see from what their experience
was even though I wasn’t there but I can imagine that I was there with them or if
I was them seeing it from their eyes. It’s strange but that’s how I
see things in everyday life in school or at home or etc. I come up with too many
ways of how to handle or of doing it and I need clarification from the teachers
of what the task is requiring - even though if they wrote it down – I am more
of a visional person and that’s also why I picked Media Film because I can see
how it will turn out to be. I would like to see more of visual example or just
a sit down and going over it with a teacher so I can write my own notes - in a
way I understand it – and ask them questions, while trying to narrow down on
what is important.

Joined (some) - Yr 12 Media Class
When I wasn't able to assent ms Jeanie for year 7s, I asked ms Telisa if i could join some of her year 12 media classes since i have frees and she was teaching them how to do a documentary. since i was working on the IB mural which was considered as a documentary. I was happy that i am able to go as it will give me a heads up on what is going to be taught in my (yr 11 media) class by ms telisa. I like to know what is coming up ahead instead of not knowing. I am happy that my friend, Thandie, is there as we meet during soccer last year. She was able to help me alot with the big words and defining them for me in a simple way as she knows how I speak. Meaning my way of understanding a topic or sentence or statement is simplified enough for me, that I can understand, like using examples of real-life situations or making one up on the spot. And also using visual examples of a text or a picture of what is needed or what it is to be explained.
When I was in there for the first time, some of the year 12s looked at me funny because they never thought a year 11 would be there since it was a year 12 class (only when they don't have enough students in a class). I knew most of the year 12s faces and names, as some (Fynn) asked me, "Why are you here?" as I replied "Because I want to and have frees." I also wanted to say since Thandie was there, but i thought twice about it. Thandie is a great friend as she helps me alot with media (topics). I would try and not to bother her to much afraid of her getting upset or (god forbid) angry, so I would try and do my work by myself and would ask Ichsan for help but realized that he didn't take media as a class, he was just there since he had frees (also). All the year 12s didn't treat me like a yr 7 they didn't treat me like an outcast or anything awful, it was just the opposite as they treated me like a year 12 even though I don't say much like the others.
I was happy that I was able to go to the year 12 media classes. When i told my parents they were happy that I was able to go and get extra classes, and especially with the older year (yr 12s) classes. I guess it was easy for me to get into the year 12 class because I have a good relationship with ms teilsa. Good relationships can give you benefits and have access more to things. As I was able to attend the year 12 media class.
Thanks again, Ms telisa
I am honored for letting me join the year 12 media classes.

I saw the Year 7s the next day. It was fun to see them again, as I noticed they were getting use to me of being in the class with them. I didn't mind at all I was just glad I could help with Ms Jeanie. I have to say the Year 7s are funny, though they don't do much work as they all do was chatting. They are more chattering then a flock of mocking birds in a tree. So I went around and helped them using the triangle ruler on their paper. It was fun seeing them as they were getting comfortable with me in the room. There's not much to write about since i don't have a lot of classes with them. Though I like the experience and learning how to deal with (slightly older, compare to primary) kids as I learn the different ratios of the kids and their behavior and learn where and how they learn new stuff.
I was also surprised that when ms Jeanie said that I wasn't needed for when the yr 7s got their assignment. So I am left and received my free time back from assisting the yr 7s. But I got a good deal upon as I was able to join some of the year 12 media classes, when I got frees.

When I was in the Year 10 Media, class they planning their magazine covers. After the students found their image that they are going to do. I went around and helped out the girls with the writing, as they had to analysis the photos and reinterpret the text into what they want from the photo. I remembered how to do this, since I did it last year and I knew how to do it. I was glad that most of the students ask me for help. I had to read some of the texts on their magazine and then help them change it into their own. I caught kids doing something besides doing their work and I told them to show Ms Telisa and get her approval. I wasn't so happy that, there was a group of kids in the back that weren't doing their work at all. So I stayed in that area to make sure that they were doing it. Then they realized that I wouldn't go away until they started or finished their work, so they continued their work.
I kept going around the class, helping out students when they called over and gave them some tips. I would also question them to, just to throw it in there to question them about their decision. It was also a challenge for me as well, since I would always write statements that would question people and their decision or actions.
A lot of the students liked having me around as I would chat to them as well as helping them. I think Ms Telisa is happy to that I am there, taking my own free-times and helping her out. I can't believe so many Year 10s took media, but then again it's allot easier then doing IT at times. I noticed that most of the students are having more fun in media, since there are more fun activities to do in class.
It was fun helping out with the Year 10s again.
Thank you,
Ms Telisa for letting me help out.

CAS activity - Yr. 7 Art I
Today I helped out with the year 7 art class along with ms Indah. I offered to help out ms Jeanie with her year 7 class since I caught that one boy, (doing something inappropriate), and I could also see that with this certain year 7 group (who took art) overwhelmed her. So ms Jeanie and I went over my school schedule and picked the best times I could come over and help, since I got a lot of free periods. It was a little mad today with the kids. I believe that they still thought they were in primary because they still more or less acted like they were.
Catherine, Dennis and I had a free period in the morning, I don't do TOK and the others had a free period, we picked that time for an extra art lesson since we are all in HL art. So we went to class and did our work finishing up assignments and doing some experiments. I did some watercolor work and played around with it using different techniques. Soon later it was second period, as the year 7s started coming in. Mr yosi was the cover teacher and told the kids what his techniques he uses when he is teaching art class, as (he read the paper in his hand) he introduced me to the year 7s. Mr Yosi seemed pleased that I was there to help out, since he had to do his own work, The year 7s didn't know how to react since I am in year 11, and that I was in their class helping out. I knew some of the year 7s from around the school, or from the primary or even friends' of mine siblings. It was interesting of how the year 7s did work in art it was a mad house, but at least I knew how to do one-point perspective so I helped out the kids with the lining up. This one boy was on his own because he was known for as a troublemaker in class, then again there is always one in every class. So I kept a close eye on him in particular as with some of my friend's siblings and others I knew from primary. I also took watch of the others who I didn't know and tried to get to know them by helping them out with their work.
At one point the kids weren't doing their work so I helped them out with some of the kids because they didn't know how to use the triangle. It was tough for them but I told them This is one of the easier assignments to do in art, then the others. The year 7s looked at me and stared but I simply told the truth. Then I noticed that the kids were talking to each from across the room and/or talking to the others from another table. I thought it would alright but I soon realized that they weren't doing their work, even with the kids who sat next to their buddy didn't do their work. So I went up to them and said Do your work. You are allowed to talk and chat with your buddy but you have to do your work at the same time. The two buddies there said okay and continued working. One kid was having trouble lining up the builds and windows and I showed him a trick or two of an easier way of doing it. I knew this kid because me and him were on the same bus at one point but then I got moved to another.

I think that the kids like that another student from a different year, who liked art, is helping them as I give them appraise. I said to then your artwork is really good for kids in your year.
When it was time to clean up I told them to clean up and put the triangles away but they didn't until I called out like a military general and bellowed out Put your triangles away! Clean your table! Push in your seat and then line up at the door! I caught some kids out the door and I said to ms Indah there are kids out the door. So we got them back in and I said It's not time to go so line up now. I knew that at the primary the teachers would say to the kids line up and so I knew they were still in that zone of we are still primary kids. So after the class of the year 7s I was tired and I was surprised that they didn't do what they were asked to or what they were told to do. I was not every impressed with them. then again they just started art assignments. I think it's good for senior students to help with the juniors and freshman kids.
Thank you,
Ms Jeanie for letting me help out with the year 7s

English - The Help Questions
I like the character Minny because she is spiky and not afraid to say anything as she is a smart mouth at times. I would say me and Minny have similar character traits. We like to help others even though it may be risky and get into trouble, and out going, a loud mouth and a big talker.

CAS activity - Yr.10 Media II
I helped with the year 10 media yesterday, on the last two lessons, where they have a double class. The students asked if I was going to be a teacher assistant, I said I am going to be a helper for ms talisa and since their class is so big and I know most of them I would like to help. I noticed right a ways that they don't pay attention, of what ms Talisa was saying. Even through out year 11 we did it too but we knew better and didn't disrespect the teachers, when they asked us once, to put something a way we did it, because they wanted us to understand of what the task will be.
I went behind some of the students and kicked their chair, not to loud or too hard but enough to make them look up. I stared and them and pointed at their phones, wanting them to put their electronics away. I was annoyed that this group of year 10s just don't care what ms telisa has to say about the task, because later on they didn't know what to do and I had to help them. I don't know why year 10's don't have TOK and learn the studies of organization and responsibility of how they act and behave. I was so glad spending so much time at Kemang, that at the secondary it was a piece of cake, since at the primary the kids are more hyper and a little difficult to control. I knew how to handle the year 10s even so they were a year younger then I am, its like handling the primary kids but at least year 10 know that they can get detentions if they don't do their work.
So I went around and helped out the kids looking for magazine covers for their next project, that I remember from last year. With the girls picking a cover was more difficult because the photos they were thinking of doing were not appropriate for this assignment, as the photos exposed the girls skin to much or that the clothes are to short or to showy of certain areas or position that the covers where posed. The girls didn't understand why, with the clothing, they couldn't understand. I noticed that they were not taught or noticed that they live in a country that they do not expose a lot of skin or dress in shorts.I think the girls need to be reminded upon this for their safety and well beinging.
With the boys they were easier since that magazines showed that they were in dress suites or some causal. Though I caught some looking at...Playboy covers and I told them to get rid of them. I was not pleased with one in pictuarl, but I am not going to name names because of privacy and to save face. I am not that kind of person who tells everyone of what one did. I just wait at the end of class and give the teachers feed back.
I like helping out the students and I gave them feedback and suggestions of what they can do and told them some magazine names of teen magazines which are fun. I also told them that they can do their covers in their own language, also since their is one girl who has a headscarf (I don't know her religion) and I didn't want her to lose face and go against her religion beacuse of a school project.
Thank you,

CAS Leadership - Mural II
Last Friday, when we had homeroom ms sam said that we were going to paint again to touch up the bands of color because they didn't look as nice. So during break I went around school and got more supplies and asked ms jeanie if we can have some of the newspaper because we were still painting to finish the touches-up. Ms Jeanie let me take the newspaper and she said to me how is it going with the mural? and I looked back at her and said Well, we only did the background and nothing else still, because Ms Sam is putting it off. I just told her of what is going on, I also told her don't bother looking at it yet because we haven't done any design on it yet only the background. Then I said to her that I will let her know when it will be finished.
Before homeroom; I got everything ready as I got the paints, brushes, chairs and newspapers. Expect when HR began everyone was working on CAS reflections, I wasn't to happy about that but I let that slide because Ms claire threw us a curve-ball when she said that a fill-out worksheet was due at 3'oclock, that day. So everyone was rushing to finish it, expect me because I had free lesson later on that day.

Though as we started doing the edges of the bands it was getting harder and harder to reach the top so we used chairs too try and reach. I got 5 chairs and stacked them as I jumped up on them and started to paint. Everyone, the students (only), called out, 'It's to dangous', 'The bottom chair isn't stable', Your going to fall', 'Keep on painting', 'Your going to fall'. I just got annoyed and yelled back I have been in worst cases then this, this is nothing compare the other stunts I have done.
Ms Sam asked the others to help out but they ignored her and kept working on CAS. I didn't care if they helped or not I just wanted to get this done. I called to ms Sam Don't bother I can do this by myself, I just want to get this shit done and over with. I know I used bad language but I was fed-up with everyone and I just wanted to finish it and move on to the design. So ms Sam left me to do it, and I was glad, so that I can get some control of the painting. I was so proud of myself that I finished and it looked great, but then the others said I missed a spot at the very top, were the ceiling and wall met. So I stacked more chairs and I got 7 or 8 on top of another and climbed up and painted. I could tell everyone was staring at me because they were like woah, how can she do that? does she do this all the time? how can she balance on all of those chairs? Truth is I like doing things like that to challenge myself and I liked it mostly because its fun and I can show off.
When ms sam said that it looked good, I was happy but when she said that she wanted to put the other-half of year 11's name up with our other-half of the year 11s, I wasn't so happy. I said if they want their names up their, they are going to help out because my half of the year 11s aren't going to do all the work and then just add the other-half of the year. It's not fair that we do all the work and they get credited.
So today I went to ms claire and talked to her about when we can switch homerooms so that her class can have a chance to do something too for the mural since we have one period that both homerooms of year 11 have at the same time, on day 5 period 4. I don't care if we do have to wait a week I am not going to allow my half of year 11 do all the work and just add Ms Claire's homeroom to the mural. THAT'S NOT FAIR!!! I don not to be rude or hasity but the truth is I am not taking that kind of tolerance, from anyone. Yeah, so what if the other half of the year wants to put their names on the mural too. They have to work for it if they want their names on it.

CAS activity - Yr.10 Media I
I have so many free classes, now even though the mr Manuel and mr Paul said "even though you have no classes at that time doesn't mean you can do anything you want". I knew that even before I started the new school year as my father talked to me about using my time wisely. And I knew if I had gotten my work done even before its due I could have free time and work on my other assignments.
I started to train myself to do that and tried it out the last months of school, last year. So I have gotten a great habits of using my time wisely and asked when the teachers are free so I can ask for help. And since, then I have been ahead in media and in art, though with math I can do what I can. Though with business and art I always ask for more help and understand of what they want in the task and to make sure that I did it correctly. So that's when I ask them if their free in certain periods, of the same that I am free.
So I asked ms talisa if she needed help with any of her classes since I noticed that year 10 was a big class and eve though there were assistances but they were helping with the students who needed special help. And ms talisa said really? That would be great, if you could and I said, that's fine I am free during that time since I don't do English A. So I went for the first time, 2 days ago, and I have to say it was an interesting experience since I was dealing with students who were only one year younger. I was so surprised that many of the students ask me for help as I gave them some pointers to make their logos look better. I caught students skyping with kids who are not from our school and caught some on facebook as others were looking at something inappropriate. With the kids I caught they didn't do their task, to make worst they didn't even start planning and it is due later in the week. So I told them, If you don't finish or started you will be able to caught up with the rest of the class. They all stared at me as they probably thought I was kidding.
though with the students who did all the work and finished, didn't show ms Talisa and I told them; that if they finished and showed their teacher that they maybe able to have free time. so all the students more or less showed ms talisa that they were done. I helped out with some of the students with their mac-computers, though I have no experience with the apple-computers. So I told them to play around with the settings and told them that word is much simpler even though it may not be able to get all the advance tools like in Photoshop but with the use of imagination, they can do anything with the use of less tools exposed to them.
I told ms talisa of what some of the kids did o their computer and which ones I caught and suggested at they sold be moved closer too her, as a way to keep a closer eye on them. I had to say it was fun doing that as the kids somewhat took notice that I knew a thing or two and tat the fact I did it last year. I was glade that I volunteered to help out since ms talisa's class of year 10s filled the whole classroom and there was just her, not counting the assistances because they were assigned to help the students of special need. So I commanded to myself and to ms talisa that when I have frees I will go and help out with year 10 media class as it is overwhelming for her. I also can report of what is going on when the teacher isn't there physically or not. Since all the students are like, oh she won't tell on us since we're all students, regardless of what they think I will report what I see as I want the year 10s to do their work and not goof around.
thx ms talisa,
for letting me help you with year 10 media group

CAS - Kemang Campus Day II
On Friday I went to Kemang Campus. It was as fun as always there, with the kids and ms Janie and ms Ratih. Going to the primary is so much fun to think that I can help with the kids and can maybe inspire them.
At Pejaten there is non-uniform day and we had to wear animal prints or costume...well anything related to animals really because they are raising money for an orangutan, name Dennis, that was saved from being eaten or worst. I decided to wear a fire tiger shirt and knee-length blue jeans instead of a skirt. My friends (year 12) and I discussed what we were going to wear the other day and we thought that most of the girls will come to school with skirts on and cat ears on, like on those anime shows. So I decided to wear a what I picked and not go for anime.

Well, as usually on Fridays there is always an assembly in the morning that starts around 8:15 and lasts for an hour (or more if there is a special event). Class doesn't start until after break (around 10 am). So I decided to take the opportunity to eat my breakfast/lunch because by the time I leave Kemang; their lunch starts, and get to Pejaten; their lunch ends. I also wanted to get some energy when the kids come.I brought Japaneses food with me chicken teriyaki from Sushi Boy (across from Pondok Indah Mall at Ranch Market).

I asked ms Janie if I could take photos of the kids and post them on my blog and she said that's fine but I have blur their faces. I just wanted to make sure that if it was okay to take photos of them.

I am so glad that I am able to stay at Kemang and help out ms Janie and ms ratih.
THANK YOU,
AGAIN FOR THIS GREAT EXPERICNCE!!!!

CAS - Leadership Mural I
We are doing a mural in our homeroom, today. Since, there isn't a lot of art in our school unlike the primary school, they have art everywhere. So we had to draw of what each word (Ms Sam wrote) meant to us:

Hhahaha, Tom was sneezing in the background. What a funny picture!!
When Ms Sam asked for volunteers to run the project, I raised my hand up right a ways. I knew if I didn't and if someone else had done it....well lets just say I would be yelling a lot sayings like, 'What the hell are you doing?' or 'Why do it that way? Do it like this.' and so on. I also took it as an chance to have my skill level up and a great opportunity to lead a team, a real group of people. Even before I would do a little of it but now I am more confident now. As I am being more of a risk taker and also a leader. Like in art class I am experimenting more and learn more as I do it. And I want that to continue for my self-esteem to express more of what I believe as well as helping others and work with them.

English - The Help by Kathryn Stockett
What is it about?
Do you think The Help book cover is appropriate?
The Help book cover is appropriate, since you can see, there is a conflict going on between the groups of Africans and the White Folks. As Skeeter is in the middle of the two opposing groups, not sure who's side she's on,My Own Questions
JUST FROM THE COVER. What can you see and tell by just looking of what the book is about? And why do you think it is called The Help?
I can see the African maids, are whispering to each other and gossiping as they are on the far side of the cover (on the left), away from the white folks on the other side of the cover. It shows a conflict?...Not conflict but more like of dislikeness between the African maids and the white folks. A lady is sitting on the bench on the far end of the bench (near the other side of the cover) looking away and checking her nails out. Showing that she is a "rich" person by acting like her is better then anyone along with her posture of how she is sitting, I am better then everyone and everyone should listen to me. Also it shows that in the cover that the maids are not aloud to sit as they are standing, this also shows the class rate they are are, (since there was a big discrimination of the two groups). The women in the middle is in between in the middle of the two groups. It shows that the woman in the middle is that same skin color as the rich white woman on the right. As it indicates that they were friends or somewhat relevant of each other from the past. This also indicates that she one of the main-main characters and that she has started something...along with the other 3 on the cover as well.
It looks likes that she has a decide on something that may change so dramatically, within the story. Or.
Something has changed as it hints that she isn't looking at the same direction as the Rich Lady or looking at the two maids, as she is staring right at you. Indicating that she once knew something and now it's gone, showing evidence of what she was taught about life is not always perfect.
As within the quote on the book cover (top page), Change Begins with a Whisper. Showing that one thing can change the world as an inspiration to everyone. As the quite and shy one's cry out for help.

CAS - Kemang Campus Day I
The Primary has assembly every Friday morning which lasts for along while. It was fun to experience the assembly at the primary. I learned that the primary school has more recondition towards the students as they gave them rewards (end of every month/term). As they get the students energized and pippy as they announced who is in the lead of the house teams. It was fun to see all the students as I recognized most of them and they remembered me. Though it was longer then I would have thought, about an 1 hour. I was amazed how many parents were there in the morning to see their kids getting awards.

We had another class before ms Janelle's daughters class. I believe they were Foundation. I am not sure of the classes because I don't know what years they are in. But the kids recognized me and said good morning. There was allot of painting going on, it was fun.
I Thank You.
For this opportunity, I am Honored.
我感谢你。 对于这样的机会,我很荣幸。

English - Where Am I From? Poetry
I am from a valley with fields’ of rice.
I am from a river that flows into the lands. (Quiet and lively as
a butterfly)
I am as golden as the sunrise the outside world has come upon
into the heart of Nanjing.
Xī (希) means hope, as the yet to come to ones beginning
life. Nothing to do, but wait and wait until the time is
near. Grief fills the air of the
one’s who left.
I am from the lands of a valley in a
place no one knows, as I. I am deserted and left behind. Isolated from
the world outside, trapped in time of past life.

English Poetry
Chance of a Lifetime
A new life begins,
with people, who you don’t know. Being given to live and learn
to grow.
Changes ones self’s destiny. Deserted and
left behind. Emotions filled with sadness and despair.
Fairness is far from
fair. Grief fills the air of the one’s who left. Happiness means
nothing to someone who has nothing. Isolated
from the world outside, trapped in time of past life. Just a dream of
freedom from this small world is so far beyond from touch.
Keeping one’s hope is hard to bare.
Limited, choices are to be made, in a
case of bringing hope to life.
Making a change in someone’s life
can make a difference in the world.
Nothing to do, but wait and wait until the time
is near.
Opening doors to the world outside has finally
come.
Patient is the key as it has its rewards.
Quickly the outside world has come upon into the
heart of China.
Raising tension is brought upon as the worries
grow, to the children who have a chance.
Stopping, one by one the children are chosen by
the West. Thoughts of how the children will be, in the outside world
with their new homes. Unsatisfied the caretakers were, that the children
were taken from their care, since the children were brought. Vacancy the
orphanage has come quickly all but a few left in their care. While
waiting for the ones’ of the West return. Xī (希) means hope. Yes, the day has come to
take me home. Zodiac year has ended as yet a new one begins, full of
hope.

Technology Hell
It is hell, when you don't understand, what to do and no one knows, what the hell is going on. I rather use Blogger its better and I know how to use it and I can give the teachers the website address and nothing more...I don't understand this and yet we used blogger last year and not continue with it since everyone knows how to use it..."just shoot me" I always say when I am pissed off and nothing goes right...which is always all the time with computer websites that no one knows how to use it..
I rather have used Blogger instead since it is easy to use, and I can keep my blogs with me even when I graduate I can still have the reflection blog thing still on. Since, the school has put me on this program with my English, I have other assignments and projects that they give me personally. I have strong skills in certain areas of English and other skills that are not as strong.
Blogger, you can use everywhere unlike wordpress since no one in our school really knows how to use it, only the IT guys are able to use it. Yet, for some reason when I go to the website it's not in English it is in Bahasa. I just hope I get to use Blogger instead of the new system that no one knows how to use.
